Day 6 Fountains Fell and Pen-Y-Ghent

14.5 miles Malham to Horton-in-Ribblesdale

Most legs of the Pennine Way seem to have just one big climb. Chris joined me for the walk today that offers double helpings, with steep climbs up both Fountains Fell and Pen-Y-Ghent.  It's compensated for with some stunning scenery though.

On top of Fountains Fell there are usually Two Stone Men, but looks like one fella has collapsed.

Chris on his way up the second climb of the day, Pen-Y-Ghent.  Views from the top were spectacular, but it's a hair-raising and steep climb that neither of us want to repeat.
